Apple TV IPTV Setup Guide for Premium Streaming

Apple TV delivers the most polished IPTV viewing experience of any streaming device — the tvOS interface is smooth, the hardware is fast and the remote is genuinely well designed. This guide covers the complete setup of Pro IPTV Nordic on Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K.

Supported Apple TV Models

• Apple TV 4K (1st, 2nd, 3rd generation): All support 4K HDR IPTV streaming. The 3rd generation (2022) is the current model.
• Apple TV HD (4th generation): Supports HD streaming. No 4K output, but otherwise fully functional for IPTV.
• Apple TV 3rd generation and older: Not supported — these devices cannot run tvOS apps.

Step 1: Install IPTV Smarters Pro

1. From the Apple TV home screen, open the App Store
2. Use Search (click the magnifying glass icon) and search "IPTV Smarters Pro"
3. Select the app and click Get or the download icon
4. Authenticate with Touch ID, Face ID or Apple ID password
5. Wait for installation to complete

Alternative apps available on tvOS: Infuse (excellent video quality, supports M3U), OTTNavigator (full-featured IPTV player).

Step 2: Enter Pro IPTV Nordic Credentials

1. Open IPTV Smarters Pro on Apple TV
2. Select "Login with Xtream Codes API"
3. Use the on-screen keyboard or the IPTV Smarters remote app on your iPhone to enter credentials faster
4. Enter the server URL, username and password from your Pro IPTV Nordic welcome message
5. Tap "Add User"

Tip: The IPTV Smarters iOS app on your iPhone acts as a remote keyboard for the Apple TV version — install it to make credential entry much faster.

Step 3: Browse Nordic Channels

Once loaded, navigate to Live TV in IPTV Smarters. Use the Groups section to filter by country — the Apple TV remote's click pad is used for navigation. Find your preferred channels, press and hold to add them to Favourites for quick access on the home screen section of the app.

Step 4: Configure EPG

1. Go to Settings within IPTV Smarters
2. Find the EPG URL field and enter the guide URL from your credentials
3. Return to the app — the programme guide populates within 5–15 minutes

Optimising Apple TV for IPTV

• Ethernet: Apple TV 4K supports ethernet via a USB-C to ethernet adapter. Wired connection dramatically improves 4K stream stability.
• Video output: Settings → Video and Audio → Format → set to 4K HDR for the best quality from 4K IPTV streams
• Match Content: Enable Settings → Video and Audio → Match Content → Match Frame Rate and Match Dynamic Range for the most accurate playback
