Complete Android TV IPTV Setup Guide for Smooth Streaming

Android TV provides the most flexible IPTV streaming platform — the open Google Play ecosystem means every major IPTV player app is available natively without sideloading. This guide covers the complete setup process for all Android TV devices including Sony BRAVIA, Philips with Android TV, TCL and dedicated Android TV boxes.

Supported Android TV Devices

Any device running Android TV (not regular Android) supports the apps described in this guide:

• Sony BRAVIA Android TV models (2015 and newer)
• Philips Smart TV with Android TV (2016+)
• TCL Android TV models
• Sharp Android TV
• Dedicated Android TV boxes: Nvidia Shield, Mi Box S, Mecool, X96 and others

Check that your Sony or Philips TV specifically runs Android TV — some older models run proprietary platforms that are not compatible with these instructions.

Step 1: Install Your IPTV Player App

Open the Google Play Store on your Android TV device:

1. Press Home on your remote
2. Navigate to Apps → Google Play Store
3. Search for "Tivimate" (recommended) or "IPTV Smarters Pro"
4. Select Install

Step 2: Configure Your Subscription

Once your IPTV player is installed, add your Pro IPTV Nordic credentials:

Tivimate:

1. Open Tivimate → Add Playlist
2. Select "Xtream Codes Login"
3. Enter server URL, username and password from your welcome message
4. Name the playlist and press Finish

IPTV Smarters Pro:

1. Open → Add User → Login with Xtream Codes API
2. Enter your credentials
3. Tap Login

Step 3: Navigate the Channel Library

The 25,000+ channel library is organised by groups. In Tivimate, press Menu on your remote to access Groups. Select the country or genre you want — Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Sports, Movies. In IPTV Smarters, use the Live TV section and filter by category.

Step 4: Configure EPG
